Community Outreach Materials
Outreach materials are an important component to effective community engagement in research.
From posters in schools to social media material and pamphlets, we have experience developing outreach materials that increase interest in research projects and facilitate communication between communities and researchers.
Coastal Habitat Comprehensive Research Project - Understanding Eelgrass in Eeyou Istchee (James Bay)
In collaboration with Niskamoon Corporation, we designed a pamphlet (see below) illustrating eelgrass research and the importance of eelgrass to coastal ecology and community well-being in Eeyou Istchee. The pamphlet was distributed in the communities involved in this research and is accompanied by a poster which is posted in community buildings.
